The partners extended a warm welcome to more than 150 employees, marking the official date when the lease agreement for the Emmastad and Bullen Bay facilities came into effect. The first general meeting of the partners in Curaçao symbolized a new chapter for the Bullen Bay terminal and the Emmastad facilities, taking place just days after the official transfer of management and operations to the energy company was finalized.

This event, which brought together over 150 participants, underscored the partners’ commitment to the CRU employees and a sustainable future for these strategic locations.

During the event, a heartfelt welcome was extended to all employees who are now part of the Oryx family. This milestone is not just an operational transition but also a consolidation of a shared vision for growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Ghanim Al Saad, Chairman of the Oryx Group, joined the event via Zoom and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to operational excellence and investment in local talent. In his address, he emphasized the importance of teamwork to modernize and optimize operations while upholding the highest standards of environmental, social, and safety protocols.

"Together, we will build a brighter future for the Bullen Bay and Emmastad facilities, prioritizing the well-being, development, and success of all Oryx members," Al Saad stated.

Patrick Newton from 2BAYS opened the meeting by highlighting the progress achieved in recent months. David de Haseth, General Manager of CRU, and Ryan Breedijk, Managing Director of Oryx Midstream, presented exciting plans to reactivate operations in Bullen Bay and Emmastad. Beyond commercial aspects, they emphasized the importance of environmental and social impact.

CRU employees actively participated, asking thought-provoking questions, which gave the session a dynamic and productive atmosphere. Oryx also presented information about the transition, its commitment to sustainability, the positive impacts envisioned, and its mission to lead operations with excellence and integrity as they begin plans to revitalize these key facilities in Curaçao.

All stakeholders agreed to continue the dialogue and collaboration, ensuring the successful reactivation of operations with the support of Oryx’s new family.
