2BAYS Curaçao Welcomes the Governor of Curaçao for Site Tour and Strategic Project Briefing

On Friday, February 20, 2026, His Excellency the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort, together with his delegation, paid an official working visit to 2BAYS Curaçao, the company focused on the development, leasing, and transformation of industrial sites within Curaçao’s port areas.

During the visit, the Governor attended a presentation led by Mr. Patrick Newton, CEO of 2BAYS Curaçao. The presentation outlined the mission and various ongoing and planned projects of 2BAYS, including its strategy to strengthen the industrial value of the port areas, support the energy transition, and provide space for sustainable, logistics, and industrial activities within the Industrial Port of Curaçao.

Following the presentation, the Governor received an extensive tour of the 2BAYS site in Emmastad and also visited the oil storage facility in Bullenbaai, where he was informed about the operations and future plans surrounding this strategic infrastructure. 2BAYS manages and develops these areas with the objective of attracting new industrial partners, innovative companies, and projects focused on sustainable growth.

The Governor and his delegation were briefed on the diverse scope of 2BAYS’ activities, ranging from port and logistics services to supporting initiatives that contribute to a sustainable and circular economy in Curaçao. The visit highlights the collaboration between public representatives and industrial stakeholders in advancing the island’s economic development.
