Curaçao is known for its abundant sunshine, making it an ideal place for generating solar energy consistently and efficiently throughout the year. 2BAYS Ecopark can offer the ideal conditions for operating (light) industries in the sustainable industrial value chain.
Eco-projects making a difference
In our Ecopark, several projects have been launched that will have a positive impact on the Port of Curaçao and the island as a whole. One of the first projects currently being developed is a 1MWp solar park. This off-grid solution will power an e-mobility project involving electric buses managed by our partner, ABC Busbedrijf. This eco-project evolved out of a study carried out by the Dutch organization TNO (the Applied Scientific Research Organization) about creating a Living Lab in Curaçao. The Living Lab is a platform for exchanging knowledge, developing expertise, and exploring sustainable energy solutions.
